JMO is affiliated with the following organizations:
JMO is a provincial affiliate of Jeunesses Musicales Canada (JMC), a non-profit organization founded in 1949 by the late Gilles Lefebvre. JMC promotes the performance of classical music, especially for young audiences, and helps young professional instrumentalists, singers, and composers to develop their careers at the national and international levels. JMC became one of the first organizations to present professional calibre concerts all across Canada.
The Jeunesses Musicales Canada Foundation (JMCF), supports the activities of JMC/JMO decidated to the promotion of classical music and the development emerging artists careers for more than 25 years.
JMO and JMC are affiliated with Jeunesses Musicales International (JMI), founded in 1945 in Belgium, and recognized by UNESCO as being the largest cultural organization for youth and music in the world. Each year, more than thirty thousand musical events are organized around the world reaching an audience of about six million people. JMI has forty-five member countries and contact organizations in another thirty-five.
Jeunesses Musicales New Brunswickis a provincial affiliate of JMC, founded in 1996. New Brunswick has always been active in the Jeunesses Musicales mission and presently has seven chapters spread across the province.
