This modern adaptation of Monteverdi’s Orfeo, one of the first operas ever written, tells the story of Orfea who wants to bring her Grandfather back to the land of the living after he has passed. With the help of the golden harp he gave her, Orfea is transported to the land of the after life and encounters some of mythology and opera’s illustrious characters that help guide her along the way.Will Orfea succeed in bringing her grandfa- ther back?

This concert features the music of Mozart, Handel, Gounod, Bizet, and Offenbach and introduces children to some of the most famous composers and opera arias of all time.
